Friday, 4th June, 6pm

Dear Highlands Customers,

We have been notified by the DHHS this evening, that a customer who recently shopped at Highlands Shopping Centre has tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Based on the information provided by the DHHS contact tracing team, the customer attended Australia Post only on Thursday 3rd of June 2021 between the hours of 11.00am and 12.00pm and has been classified as a Tier 1 site location.

A full public health response is underway by the Victorian Department of Health.

In the meantime, our specialist cleaning team are conducting a deep clean of the centre and common areas including the centre amenities tonight, in line with DHHS guidelines. Australia Post will be closed until further notice and will also be completing a deep clean.

The wellbeing of our community is our highest priority, and we continue to take all necessary steps to ensure ongoing safety in the centre.  If you shopped at Australia Post between 11.00am and 12:00pm on Thursday 3rd June and experiencing even mild symptoms, ensure you get tested, isolate immediately until you receive a negative test result and contact the DHHS coronavirus hotline.

You can contact the National Coronavirus Health Information Line on 1800 020 080 or visit the Coronavirus (COVID-19) information website at https://www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au/getting-tested with any health related queries.
